The SanoMed Manufacturing BV company was founded in August 2006. In the years prior to its establishment the founders researched many topics regarding the properties of honey in wound healing. Several studies (in vitro, in vivo and literature) were conducted in relation to wound healing and dressing development. These studies resulted in publications worldwide.
The research and publications resulted in the company's unique and patented products. In 2007 the CE marking for the products was established. The company as for now has distributors in 6 European countries, 5 countries in Asia and the Middle East. Melladerm® Plus is the second generation honey based product and is rapidly taking over the older honey based products. Our wound care products are named under the SanoSkin® brand.
In 2022 we started the trajectory for the CE certifying of our products under the new Medical Device Regulation. Over the course of 2023 all necessary audits were performed with positive outcome. The MDR certificate is expected in the beginning of 2024!
Next to innovative honey based wound care products. SanoMed manufacturing also has new concept cosmeticproducts all based on natural ingredients These products are marketed under different brand names.
